Russia launched 142 attack and decoy drones overnight, Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Telegram.
Explosions rocked Kherson, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro during the assault.
Sixteen drones hit ten separate targets while Ukrainian defenses shot down 126.
In Kherson, local media reported two deaths and 14 injuries.
The attack damaged nine houses, schools, hospitals, an administrative building, a gas station, and several vehicles.
Odesa suffered heavy damage in Chornomorsk, where one person was injured and the city’s power network was hit.
Governor Oleg Kiper said at least 29,000 residents lost electricity.
He added that generators were powering critical infrastructure and repairs had already started.
Kyiv Condemns Escalating Russian Offensives
Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia carried out its third major attack of the week.
He said Moscow demonstrates that only global pressure can stop the war.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine continues to resist despite relentless strikes.
Zelenskyy Reports Heavy Russian Casualties
Zelenskyy reported Russia suffered massive troop losses in Pokrovsk, where Moscow concentrated its forces.
He said Ukrainian troops carried out operations across Donetsk and systematically destroyed Russian units.
He added that Russia lost over 290,000 soldiers killed or severely injured during the first eight months of the year.
Zelenskyy praised Ukraine’s soldiers for fulfilling their objectives and weakening the Russian military.
