European Solidarity Demonstrations
Thousands protested in Düsseldorf under the banner “freedom for Palestine and all oppressed peoples.”
Around 6,000 demonstrators marched in Geneva, calling for peace and an end to violence in Gaza.
The Gaza war began on 7 October 2023, when Hamas killed nearly 1,200 civilians and kidnapped 251 people.
Israel’s offensive has killed more than 65,100 people in Gaza over the past 23 months, according to the Health Ministry.
