Los Angeles FC star Son Heung-min is the top earner among Major League Soccer’s summer signings, with an annual salary of $10.4 million and total compensation of $11.2 million, trailing only Lionel Messi.
Son joined LAFC in August after more than a decade with Tottenham Hotspur, scoring nine goals in 10 MLS games. Messi remains the league’s highest-paid player, earning $12 million in salary and $20.4 million in total compensation under a deal that runs through 2025 — though Inter Miami recently said he agreed to extend it to 2028.
Messi’s teammate Rodrigo De Paul earns $1.5 million in salary and $3.6 million in total compensation. Other notable newcomers include Hirving “Chucky” Lozano ($6m/$7.6m, San Diego), Jonathan Bamba ($5m/$5.6m, Chicago), and Wilfried Zaha ($2.7m/$2.8m, Charlotte).
