The Premier League has approved Arsenal and Crystal Palace’s requests to move their league fixtures ahead of their Carabao Cup quarter-final meeting on Tuesday, 23 December.
Originally set for Sunday, 21 December, Arsenal’s trip to Everton and Palace’s visit to Leeds will now be played a day earlier, at 8pm on Saturday, 20 December.
The change comes to ease scheduling congestion, with Palace already facing KuPS in the Conference League on Thursday, 18 December. The league cited player welfare as the reason for approving the adjustments, noting the challenges caused by the expanded European calendar.
The Premier League thanked Leeds and Everton for their cooperation. Both rescheduled matches will still be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
