Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski next summer. The La Liga champions see the 32-year-old England captain as the perfect successor to the 37-year-old Pole, whose contract expires in June.
According to reports, Barcelona are willing to activate a £57m release clause in Kane’s Bayern Munich contract. Since joining from Tottenham in 2023 for £100m, Kane has scored 108 goals in 113 games, helping Bayern reclaim the Bundesliga title and ending his long wait for silverware.
While Kane has said he is open to staying in Germany until 2027, the chance to join another global powerhouse could tempt him. Barça also have Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, with a £30m option to buy.
Club president Joan Laporta dismissed rumours of a Lionel Messi return after the Argentine’s visit to Camp Nou, calling such talk “unrealistic.”
